2018 Summer Intro to Sculling Camp

ELIGIBILITY   Rising 10th Grade through 12th Grade.  Rower must have completed at least one spring season with a high school rowing team.

OBJECTIVE  This camp will focus on rowing skills in sculling boats–quads, doubles, and singles–with the goal of preparing the rower for more advanced rowing in the summer small boats camp.  The coach to rower ratio will be no greater than one coach per 12 rowers.

Registration and payment for camps will be online through RONIN Racing.  Exception will be the swim test and VHSL physical form.

Swim Test:  All participants are required to have a swim test on file with their school rowing team.  There is no requirement for the rower or school to provide a copy of the swim test as long as the school rowing team has the swim certificate on file.  If a rower did not participate with a Prince William County high school rowing team, a swim test certificate is required.

Physical Examination Form: All participants are required to submit a completed VHSL Feb 2017 Physical Examination Form to be completed by qualified medical personnel.  The form must have a doctor’s signature dated 1 May 2018 or later.  Ensure all four pages are completed with required signatures.  Make a copy to bring to the first day of rowing camp; keep the original for your records.
